Francesco Nocera

is PhD and Assistant Professor (SSD ING-IND/11) of Thermal science, energy technology, building physics at Architectural Faculty of University of Catania. He is author of 105 research papers published on Journals and Conference Proceedings. In 2014 he won “Best Research Paper Award- KES International” for the significant contribution to research made.  He takes part in several national and international research program. He dealt with several research, experimentally as well as numerically and analytically. His research is focused on:  basic thermodynamics, thermo-fluid dynamics, heat transmission, lighting, acoustics, rational use of energy, use of renewable energy sources and energy service management in buildings and urban landscapes. He is Honorary Member of National Association for the Thermal and Acoustic Insulation. He is Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Renewable Energy Technology Research (IJRETR) and Sustainability Journal. Since 2012 he has been organizing the special session "Zero Energy Building" for the International Conference on Renewable Energies and Power Quality  as member of the European Association for the Development of Renewable Energies, Environment and Power Quality.
